Regal Talks About His Drug Problem

NEWS: Regal gave a candid interview to The Sun about his many years battling drugs...

• "I was sick - sick in the head!"
• He says he has done every drug you can think of, but thankfully not heroin or crack. If someone gave it to him, there's no doubt in Regal's mind that he would have taken it.
• His problem started in 1995 when he injured his knee wrestling Benoit in Japan. He was prescribed painkillers and it spiraled out of control.
• "I should be dead."
• He says he put his family through a lot of pain.
• One year during Christmas at his father-in-laws house, he was high on GHB and flipped out on everyone. It got so bad that he ended up in the hospital and his heart stopped for 5 minutes.
• Several times he's almost burnt the house down and even urinated on a stewardess' foot.
• He does not blame wrestling for what's happened to him.
• He credits WWE, Vince, Bruce Pritchard, Jim Ross and Gerry Brisco for helping him get clean.
• When he was fired from WWE, Vince and Jim Ross said he can come back whever he wants.
• His treatment was paid for by Vince.
• He finally saw the light in 1999 when realized all his problems came down to him and only him.
