RAW Report For May 30th

NEWS: RAW was dedicated to the men and women of the armed forces on this years Memorial Day. Here's what went down in Calgary, Alberta, Canada...

• RAW kicks off with a Diva Swimsuit Competition hosted by The King. The participants are Christy Hemme, Candice Michelle, Maria, Victoria and Lillian Garcia. The King starts off the competition by instructing Lillian to "drop that towel." Just as Lillian is about to comply, Viscera comes out and carries Lillian away. The King continues the competition with one less participant as all the women take off their towels. King has a hard time deciding who the winner is, but picks Christy. Victoria looks disappointed and exit the ring as the 3 remaining women celebrate. Suddenly, Victoria gets back in the ring and layers out everyone! Maria is kicked straight in the face...Christy gets the Widow's Peak...Candice is kicked out of the ring...and The King is kicked in the balls!

• Backstage, Victoria is being interviewed about her recent actions. Victoria says she is sick of Christy and all the attention she is getting.
• Next up is Rosey & Hurricane defending their Tag Titles against The Heart Throbs. Hurricane and Antonio start the match with Hurricane going for a quick cover. Hurricane doesn't get the pinfall and loses his advantage quickly. Hurricane is being beat down as both Romeo and Antonio cycle in and out. Hurricane is able to make the tag to Rosey and Rosey cleans house. He gets a huge splash on Romeo and slams Antonio down to the mat. Rosey tags in Hurricane and Hurricane climbs Rosey's shoulders and gets the huge splash for the win. Hurricane & Rosey win the match and are still the Tag Team Champions.
• Backstage, we see Batista arriving. A recap of RAW last week is played where Batista was ambushed and played by HHH and Flair.
• Backstage, Batista and Bischoff are talking. Batista accepts HHH's challenge for Hell in a Cell and Batista wants the contract signing next week since HHH is not in the building tonight. Hassan & Daivari come barging into the room ranting and raving. Hassan asks Bischoff what HHH has done to deserve a title shot considering Hassan is undefeated. Before Bischoff can reply, Batista gets in the middle and says, "It's about time someone shuts you up." Batista demands a match with Hassan tonight and Bischoff makes the match official. Tonight, it will be Batista vs Hassan.
• Shelton Benjamin vs Grenier vs Conway for the Intercontinental Championship is the next match on RAW. Considering Grenier & Conway are a tag team, it's no surprise that they both attack Shelton even though it's a triple threat match. Shelton is quickly on the mat being stomped by both men until Grenier and Conway start arguing. This allows Shelton to throw Grenier out of the ring and work over Conway. Grenier gets back in the ring and is able to stop Shelton's attack. Grenier tries to make the cover, but Conway quickly interrupts it. This causes both Grenier and Conway to start fighting each other which allows Shelton to once again mount an offense. Shelton hits a huge Lariat off the top rope, but he cannot get the cover. Once again, Conway and Grenier start fighting as Shelton rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Both Conway and Grenier each try to pin one another, but fail. Shelton jumps back in the match and gives Grenier the T-Bone slam for the win.

• Next up is Jericho's Highlight Reel. Jericho comes out and starts talking about how a big star he is and pumps up his own ego. However, he does announce that he will interview the first person to come from Smackdown to RAW in the draft lottery. Now for tonight, Jericho introduces Kane as his first guest. Jericho asks Kane how this all happened. Why did Lita leave? Before Kane can answer, Jericho asks Kane if it was due to his "equipment malfunctioning." Kane starts gettting mad and Jericho backs off saying he is only joking. Then, Edge gets up on the screen and asks Kane how it feels to be speared by him and how it feels to know that he has been "spearing" Lita for months. Edge tells Kane that Lita will not come out to the ring, she'll talk from the back. Lita announces that she has offically filed for divorce from Kane. Lita continues to badmouth Kane and says Kane is like, "a fourth grader in bed." Lita and Edge move towards the bathroom and they flush Lita's wedding band down the toilet. Kane looks both mad and upset as the same time as he watches Lita & Edge laugh and make out on screen.

• Bischoff comes out and says he is on a crusade to end ECW once and for all. He says on Sunday, June 12th he is going to march into the ECW PPV and end it. Then Bischoff says the reason he approved a Tables Match for RAW tonight is to prove that RAW can put on a better ECW match than ECW can itself. That is why Benoit is facing Edge because Edge will be one of the volunteers to raid the ECW PPV.
• Edge & Lita make their entrance followed by Benoit. The loser of the match is the first man to go through a table. Edge and Benoit start off strong, but Edge is able to gain the advantage as Lita looks on. Benoit is laying on the mat so Edge goes to the outside and pulls out a table. Before Edge can even set up the table, Benoit gets up and performs a suicide dive which lays Edge out. Benoit and Edge bring the match back into the ring as both men loook pretty even against each other. Edge drops Benoit and quickly goes for the table again, but Benoit gets up and does a baseball slide straight into the table which launches Edge back. Benoit jumps to the outside and sets up the table. Both Benoit and Edge try to put each other through the table, but cannot pull it off. Benoit gets another table and brings it into the middle of the ring as Edge is trying to get to his feet. Benoit goes for a superplex off the top rope and hits it, but Lita moves the table! Lita slides the briefcase to Edge, but Benoit comes up from behind and give Edge several German suplexes. Benoit puts Edge on the table and goes for the diving head butt from the top rope, but Lita interferes. Just then, Bischoff comes out and calls for reinforcements to attack Benoit. Maven, Tomko and Snitsky come out and beat down Benoit. This allows Edge to pick up Benoit and powerbomb him through the table for the win. Bischoff slowly walks into the ring and says this is just a preview of what will happen.

• On screen, HHH comes up and talks abou Hell in a Cell. He tells Batista that this match is barbaric, but HHH has been through it and he will come out with the World Heavyweight Championship.
  
• Chris Masters comes out for another Masterlock challenge. Masters announces that he has upped the ante to 10,000 American dollars. He asks the crowd who wants the money? Well he says things will be different tonight because now he is opening up the challenge to any wrestler in the back. Val Venis answers the call and comes out to challenge Masters. The two exchange words and Val sits in the chair. Masters is about to put the hold on Venis, but he kicks him in the head instead. Masters continues to attack Venis and puts him in the Masterlock until Venis passes out. Your winner, Chris Masters.
• Christian comes out to a huge ovation. He says Smackdown has many types of wrestlers including, Japanese, American, A Dead Man, A Giant and even a hip-hop poser. But, Smackdown doesn't have a Canadian. Next week, Christian may go to Smackdown or stay on RAW. If Christian does go to Smackdown then they'll get an injection of the three C's...Charisma, Canada and Christian.
• Our main event for the night is here, Hassan vs Batista. Batista starts off at a disadvantage because Hassan gains the upper hand thanks to Daivari. Everytime Batista gains an offense, Daivari interferes so Batista finally beats up Daivari. In fact, he beats him up so bad that Daivari starts bleeding. Hassan tries to save Daivari, but just gets beat up in the corner. The ref starts counting and tries to get Batista to stop his assault, but Batista will not stop and the ref disqualifies Batista. Batista is pissed up and starts beating up Hassan & Daivari and now both men are dripping blood from their faces. Batista poses for the crowd as RAW goes off the air.
